2002 Preseason:  Sort of a down season for Napastuk last year.  Riders were hoping he could improve to the point that he could take over the DT position, but still found himself in a platoon situation with DT Colin Scrivener until DT Scott Schultz arrived and pushed both of them aside.  Schultz is trying the NFL again, so the spot is up for grabs.

2001 Preason:  Will once again platoon with fellow Canadian DT Colin Scrivener at the one tackle spot.  Strong and steady player who shows flashes of being a star.

2000 Regular Season:  Has good size and strength needed to plug up the middle.  Split time with DT Colin Scrivener at one tackle spot.

College:  A four-year starter at Iowa State.   Recruited by Iowa State after playing his high school football in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.  Was a college teammate of Rider RB Darren Davis in his senior year.
