2002 Preseason:  Make it or break it year for Preston.  After the "Rock and Roell" season last year in which both he and his brother fell flat on their faces after the first few games, the trading of RB Darren Davis has opened up a new hole for Rock to become a starter.  Will still face serious competition from second-year RB Corey Holmes.

2001 Preseason:  Former Stampeder is looking to battle incumbant RB Darren Davis for the starting RB spot.  Riders may even consider platooning the two running backs.  In three seasons of backing up RB Kelvin Anderson, Preston racked up 701 yards rushing, 150 yards receiving and 1,029 yards on kickoff returns while scoring four TDs.

College:  Poised to be Florida State's next star running back after Tampa Bay Buccaneer RB Warwick Dunn graduated, but blew his chance when he couldn't keep his marks up and was kicked out of school.  Never played in what would have been his senior season.  In three seasons of backing up Dunn, Preston rushed for 1,412 yards and 17 TDs, while averaging almost eight yards per carry.
