Rider NAVBar |
Pos: QB Hometown: Yonkers, New York 2002 Preseason: First Rider quarterback to come from Clemson since Homer Jordan. As predicted by SRFP way back in December, Riders trade for Greene. Struggled in 2001 with the Edmonton Eskimos and lost his starting job to Jason Maas, but still has all the skills to be one of the premier quarterbacks in the CFL. Very reminiscent of Tracy Ham. Runs extremely well and still holds CFL season record for rushing by a quarterback set in 1999 with 858 yards. Has a knack for escaping the pass rush and completing the pass, especially on second and long. College: Career passing leader at Clemson University as a three-year starter. Led Tigers to Gator Bowl in 1995 and the Peach Bowl in 1996 and 1997. Running Away: Greene runs away from former Rider R-Kal Truluck. Who can I find?: Greene escapes Joe Montford and looks for a receiver. Gets it away: Greene, as a Clemson Tiger, finds a passing lane, before being hit by former Rider hopeful Morocco Brown. Back to pass: Greene, in Clemson throwback uniforms, gets set to pass.
