2002 Preseason:  Solidified what was a perennial weak spot for the Roughriders, an undersized defensive line.  After years of using small defensive lineman, Davis rectified that situation by coming in at 315 lbs.   Riders have demanded Davis come in to camp at under 290 to give him extra zip coming off the line.

2001 Regular Season: A late Roy Shivers find, Davis was a former early second round draft pick (32nd overall, had Davis been in drafts in later years, he would have been a first rounder) of the Atlanta Falcons where he was considered a bust.  Also tried out with Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos before hanging up the cleats.  Decided he wanted to play football again and Shivers found him.  As a defensive lineman, Davis was taken ahead of such NFL stars as Jared Tomich (New Orleans Saints), Marcellus Wiley (Buffalo/San Diego) and Jason Taylor (Miami Dolphins).  Will be looking to resurrect a disappointing pro career after being a standout in college.

College: Was considered one of the most talented defensive linemen in the 1997 NFL draft.  Big, yet mobile, Davis has a very athletic body which also served him well as a nationally ranked and an All-American shot putter.   Holds most of Indiana's shotput records.  Finished his football career with 133 tackles, 13 sacks and 37 tackles for losses.

Trivia: Davis is into body piercings big time and even has a pierced tongue.  He is also the cousin of Cincinatti Reds shortstop Barry Larkin.
