2002 Preseason:  Was platooned last season with DT Sheldon Napastuk, but they were both replaced by Moose Jaw native DT Scott Schultz when he came back from his tryout with the San Diego Chargers.  Schultz is gone to the NFL again, and Scrivener and Napastuk will once again share the defensive tackle spot (until Schultz comes back again).

2001 Preason:  Will likely split time with up-and-coming DT Sheldon Napastuk in a revamped Richie Hall defence.  Has never quite lived up to expectations of being a star, but certainly show flashes in certain games.

2000 Regular Season:  As Riders will be using eleven Americans on defence, they are counting on the defensive tackle spot to be manned by a Canadian.  Scrivener will get most of the playing time there, but fellow Canuck, Sheldon Napastuk, will also see some time there.  Has shown steady improvement in the time he has been with the Riders.   Adds much needed "beef" to an undersized defensive line.
